After this 3-hour intro workshop you will:

Understand

Our emotions live in our bodies just as much as they live in our minds. During this intro workshop you will understand better why stress, depression, or anxiety affect your sleep, cause headaches and other physical symptoms.

Practice

You will learn simple exercises to help you get out of your head and feel your body better. This is not a fitness workout - the practice was designed in the 1950s by the psychiatrist and psychotherapist Alexander Lowen to help his patients.

Regulate

One of the main goals of somatic exercises is to help you regulate your emotions and feel better, calmer, and more energized. If you start to practice the exercises from the workshop regularly, you will be able to improve your mood and wellbeing.

Hi! I'm Anka

And I don’t always look or feel as energized as in that picture. But since I’ve discovered bioenergetic exercises, I can help myself get out of a bad mood, relax my stressed and overwhelmed body, and slow down the overthinking and worrying. 

I discovered Bioenergetic Analysis when interviewing a body-oriented therapist for my radio show about sexuality (I’m a trained sexologist). Once I learned more about the approach, I got hooked. I got so hooked that at the age of 40 I decided to go back to school and get trained for 4.5 years to become a body-oriented psychotherapist. I have completed the pre-clinical phase of my training. To ensure the quality of my work I have regular supervision with an experienced therapist.

On top of that I bring additional, extensive (24 months) education and training in group workshop facilitation and life coaching (18 months).

In my private life I’m an expat in Switzerland. I came to Zurich in 2018 from Warsaw, Poland. My family pack consists of me, my husband, 8-year-old son and two senior cats. I love the Baltic seaside and the color red as you can see in the picture.

Who it's not for

These workshops are not suitable for people who are very sensitive to noises and screaming (as people sometimes express their emotions with their voice). If you're undergoing treatment with antipsychotic medication or have had psychotic episodes, this is also not for you. Other contraindications include pregnancy and epilepsy. If you have serious medical conditions, get in touch to make sure this is right for you.
